Being on the Welcome Team is a vital role in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere at church. Team members are asked to arrive by 9:30 AM on the Sundays they are scheduled to serve, ready to greet people with a smile and a friendly attitude. It's important to have a basic understanding of the church, its ministries, and parking options so you can confidently assist anyone with questions. Welcome Team members stay in the foyer or entrance area until a little after the service begins, making themselves available to help latecomers or newcomers feel comfortable. A big part of the role is being a friendly face for visitors, handing out welcome booklets and other helpful information, and making sure everyone feels seen and valued as they arrive.
